Last week I set off back to the old town of Bangkok for further exploring. I walked along a stretch of Banglamphu Khlong (canal) which, although close to the tourist epicenter of Khao San road, had a lovely small neighborhood feel. Houses front onto the walkway and residents appropriate the section across the path, alongside the canal for sitting and as container gardens.
A sweet and cooling iced coffee at fort Phra Sumen and then onto the neglected but enchanting Bangkok National museum where my camera decided to give up and left me to wander cool rooms of dusty curiosities.
