What is renga?

Renga is a form of Japanese poetry that is written collaboratively. Renga design is about working with you to realise your design goals. The best architecture is not a monologue but a conversation between the all of those involved and impacted.

I provide a design service that is both friendly and professional.

I believe that good design is essential in creating places where people want to live, work and visit- places that are good for the soul. The smallest changes can make a difference. I enjoy working with others on projects of all scales from the selection of a door handle to extending communities at a masterplanning scale.

My work benefits from my being part of the design community as a member of the Bournemouth Design Panel and being active in the Dorset branch of the RIBA.

I originally trained as a garden designer at the Arts University Bournemouth and Kingston Maurward college in Dorchester culminating in he creation of a small show garden at the RHS Hampton Court Palace flower show.

I then studied architecture at Plymouth and London South Bank university with my professional practice exams taken at Portsmouth University.

Design Principles

Good design impacts on lives in a positive way. Building responsibly with the experience of the occupant and the environment in mind.

Space is a priority; space to live, space to dance.

Texture through the combination of materials and their detailing enriches.
